We have a few updates from the leaders of Bay County and Governor Ron Desantis.
Here is what we know as of April 30, 2020.
The prohibition of vacation rentals in Executive Order 20-87 will remain in effect indefinitely. The executive order mandating this begins May 4th so we are going to take this on a week by week basis. For instance, we will call all reservations from May 4th – May 11th, offering to either move their stay or fully refund their deposits. We will also inform them that we do not know when the ban will be lifted but will keep them updated. On May 5th, we will call check-ins on the 12th and offer the same options and so on. I do not expect this ban to last more than a few weeks.
Restaurants may offer outdoor seating with 6 feet of space between tables and indoor seating at 25% capacity.
Retail stores can operate at 25% of indoor capacity.
Bay County Commissioners and councilmen have voted to reopen the beaches with no local limitations on Friday, May 1st.
No changes for bars, gyms, and personal services such as hair dressers and barbers
Sports arenas and movie theaters will remain closed
