It’s only been a few days since my last update, but there are a couple of items that I would like to share.
The new Rental Manager, Shad Smith, did not work out, and he departed after about 3 weeks of his own accord. As we began looking for a replacement for that position, Jackie Wysong contacted me and asked to be considered for the position. Jackie was planning to join the military, and was to leave the Moonspinner at the end of December. John Craig and I met with Jackie, and with strong support from Board members, Jackie has been offered the Rental Manager position, and has accepted same. Jackie’s promotion is effective immediately. Jackie has been with us for about 2 years and knows LiveRez very well. Please welcome her back to the Moonspinner family. I am confident that Jackie is the right person for this, and will do an excellent job for us.
Debbie Wheeler’s last day was Friday, December 13. We are looking for a CAM to replace Debbie as our General Manager, and John Craig and I have spoken with a couple of candidates. This is the slow time of the year for us, and the Moonspinner operation will be fine until we find the right person to replace Debbie.
I have no news regarding our insurance settlement. I will follow up with Pat Garrett sometime this week, as I usually do.
The Moonspinner 2020 Budget was approved by the Board at the December 12 Board meeting, with no increases in our quarterly fees.
The roof project for Buildings A, B, and C is out for bids as of November 21. The bids due date has been changed to the afternoon of December 18 because of some changes/improvements to the original specifications. We are looking forward to getting this project started in early January.
The Moonspinner Employees Appreciation Fund was recently renamed the Bert Farris Moonspinner Employees Appreciation Fund with the blessing of Gwen Farris. Christmas bonuses will be given to the employees later this week. I know our hard-working employees really appreciate this, and I thank everyone for your generosity.
That’s all I have for now. Thanks for listening.
