Opening of Rentals

Good morning owners,

As you know, the Governor approved the Bay County guidelines and procedures document for opening vacation rentals. There are a lot of mixed feelings about this, we know, but we are doing the best we can to maximize income for our owners who rent and keep our full-time owners safe.

For owners who reside full or part-time at Moonspinner

We understand your concerns about safety and having guests on property. The staff will be working very hard to provide as much structure for our guests as possible, such as guidance on elevators, social distancing guidelines, etc. While every effort will be made, guests and owners may not always adhere to these rules. There will be a learning curve for all of us. We ask for your patience and continued vigilance regarding your own health.

For those owners on the Rental Program

  • We will open for rentals on June 1st.  We know some are not happy with this decision, but we believe it was necessary to have the proper staff, sanitation processes and supplies, etc. in place.

  • We are working with Americlean, based on the Bay County document. We expect a minimum increase in cost for cleaning, passed on to the guest, of $35.

  • We are working on plans to expedite check-ins.

  • We are asking owners (on site) to pack and store items that can’t easily be laundered like comforters, throw pillows, and anything you feel appropriate, as we will be unable to have these cleaned between guests. We are asking renters to bring their own. (Use your best judgement.)  If you are not on property, the staff will do this for you.

  • More info to come...

For owners who rent on your own or through another company

  • There is an expectation that you and/or your rental company will adhere to the Bay County document.

  • Your guests are subject to social distancing and obeying any signage or directions from our staff, as always. Please be sure your guests are aware.

  • Once completed, we will be sharing the disclaimer we will be using for on-site rentals, so you may use it if desired.

We ask for patience with the staff. Everyone is working very hard - and we greatly appreciate all they are doing.

We will communicate more information as the situation develops.
